The Pineapple Incident

Worst. Advice. Ever.

But of course we all received poor advice in our life. The challenge is to identify it early rather than looking back and say, "yup, that was terrible advice."

In this episode we see Ted under the influence of poor advice: don't think, just do. He does less thinking and more drinking, and the end result is a series of flashbacks pieced together by different people throughout the night.
Wine is a mocker, strong drink a brawler, and whoever is led astray by it is not wise. - Proverbs 20:1
It is clear that Ted was led astray in this episode, and despite the friend-fail both Marshall and Lily committed by encouraging him to get drunk, it was Marshall's call to "think" about the repercussions of his actions.

Our actions have consequences, and they don't just affect us. And we have to be prepared to deal with that.
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. - Romans 6:23
This episode was a big reminder of grace.
