Matchmaker

Growing up in church this is what I've heard regarding faith: "you need more faith!", "increase your faith!", "pray for more faith!"

This past year, I began to understand that what the Christian needs isn't necessarily more faith, you just need to have it. Jesus does it all, when your faith is in him.

"For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you." - Matthew 17:20

In this episode, we see a dilemma in Ted's love life. Science is not yielding the answers he seeks, but does this stop him from believing? At first, it does, yes. Can science make a way for love? He isn't sure.

Buuut at the end of the episode, when even his matchmaker (the person he is paying!) is completely skeptical of him meeting someone he holds onto hope. How does he know? As Ted says, "I don't KNOW, but I BELIEVE."

Christians KNOW where to put our faith in, and what an encouragement that is. I like to think of biblical Joseph. This kid has been sitting in a prison cell for two years, and his faith is in God alone. God's got a plan, we need to know that much.
